Mathematical Crochet Chaos!

Dr Hinke Osinga and Professor Bernd Krauskopf, of Bristol University's engineering mathematics department, have made a crochet model of chaos - and are challenging anyone else to repeat the effort.

They used 25,511 crochet stitches to represent the Lorenz equations.

To quote Keanu Reeves in The Matrix, Bram Stoker's Dracula, Speed, Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure (1 &2 ), but not as Siddartha in Little Buddha, "Whoa".

You'll get a bottle of champagne if you can do it yourself.
